About:

Self-portrait I made when feeling conflicted about my identity and future, leading to a lot of anxiety at the time. I worked on this piece to come to terms with the feelings and face them.

Doing much better now and was able to come back to this work and turn it into something cool that I am proud to share. Both the art and the feelings behind it.

If you can, remember that your feelings are valid and that even when the thoughts inside your head scare you. You are not your thoughts and you are strong.

When you confront the things that are weighing you down, you can face them and work them out. You will be stronger for it. You are not alone in this and you don’t have to carry such burdens by yourself.

You are allowed to feel shit, your feelings are valid. But try if you can to confront these feelings so that they do not consume you. It is not easy but you got this.

The original piece. It started as a self-portrait exercise and turned into something more meaningful. Very happy with how this version turned out since portraits are not my specialty.

Playing around with colours and textures. Also went and made the overall look more alien with the glowing eyes. Had some good fun putting this together.
